Overview

How might we design a more ergonomic handle that suits both push and pull motions, and is comfortable for right- and left-handed individuals?

This project explores Juhani Pallasmaa's assertion that "the door handle is the handshake of the building."

Through the exploration of synergies between geometry, tactility, and ergonomics, I designed and prototyped a wooden door handle to be produced through a subtractive CNC process.
